Our Board

Doreen is a STEM education advocate, passionate about levelling the female representation in STEM fields. She believes that women can be both elegant in stilettos and confident in steel toes. She is a Schlumberger Foundation Fellow, a PhD student at the University of Nottingham, and currently a visiting scholar at the Poultry Research Foundation, within the University of Sydney – Australia. Doreen is also a YALI alumni and a UN Women Global Champion for Change.

Doreen Anene

Founder and Executive Director

Obianuju works with General Electric as an Operations Engineer in the energy industry. She holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria, and is currently studying towards a master’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Liverpool. Uju is passionate about improving the quality of education and developing women in STEM and heads the STEM Belle Library and STEM hub projects.

Dayo, is a teacher and public health professional who is very passionate about providing educational and other life- skills opportunities to young people, particularly those from low-resource communities and low-income families. She is a fellow of Teach for Nigeria and teaches STEM subjects at a public primary school in Ogun State, Nigeria, where she founded her STEM club. Dayo is a fellow of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and a 2017 Fellow of the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI).

Humainat Raji

Program coordinator, OYO – Nigeria

Adeoti Prisca is a first-class Mechanical engineering graduate from the university of Benin, the third ever female to attain this feat since the inception of the university in 1970. Her academic excellence earned her a place as one of the four females of the 90 students selected for a Schlumberger Internship program. She currently works with the application engineering team at General Electric, Lagos.
